Long Weekend of November 28 & 29

Wow! What a crazy long weekend. I hope everyone had a great and wonderful Thanksgiving Day. We went to see my cousin, Tara, in Canton. We ate way too much food but had such a great time. The "men" watched football

and the women chatted in the kitchen.

On Friday, Amy and I got up at 4:00 am to get to Target by 5:00 am. What a crazy scene that was. Our Target was so unorganized this year, it really bummed us out BUT we did end up getting everything on our list. Unfortunately, I won't be able to share all of my deals with you because all of my family reads my blog. (Mom & John, did you really think I would post pictures?)

On Saturday, we went to the Columbus Zoo Wildlights with Amy, Bill and Addison. The Columbus Zoo decorates the whole zoo in Christmas Lights every year.

Addison wanted to ride the "horses." Isn't she so cute?

We made video of the lights, if you want to take a look:

Weekend of November 21 & 22

We had a great time this weekend and going back to work for three days doesn't see like such a big deal this week.

On Saturday we had a few people over to watch the OSU vs Michigan game. The Buckeyes will be going to the Rose Bowl on New Years Day. Go Buckeyes!

On Sunday, Christopher and I put up Christmas lights. There was some arguing

and some laughing

But we came together and got it done. We are very proud of our finished product.

I hope you had a a great weekend too!

Weekend of November 14 & 15

We're going to the Rose Bowl! Wahooo! Our Buckeye's had an excellent game this weekend.

Friday night, Christopher and I went and bought our Christmas present to each other. I'll tell you about that later. Saturday we watched to the OSU game and celebrated a little too hard Saturday night at our placement into the Rose Bowl.

Hope you had a great weekend!

Weekend of October 31 & November 1

Christopher and I had some much needed fun this weekend. Last week we learned Grandma P had a collapsed young. Grandma P lives in Chicago so we don't get to see her much. Christopher and I were very worried about her all week. It seems that she is doing good now. They drained her lung and there is no more fluid filling up. So Friday night we decided that dinner and drinks were in order. It was nice to just let loose.

On Saturday morning, we woke up at 7:00 am to head to Cincinnati to the only Ikea in Ohio.

We did some damage at Ikea. About $300 worth of damage but boy did we get some good stuff. We got back home Saturday afternoon, took a nap then headed out to a Halloween Party at our favorite bar, O'Manny's.

Sunday, we watched movies and layed around due to the amount of 'spirits' we had Saturday night.

We had such a great weekend and I'll let you know more about our Ikea trip this week. We have big plans for one of our rooms this week. It's so exciting.

Weekend of October 24 & 25

This weekend was a nice slow weekend. Friday night we picked up a Papa Murphy's Take and Bake pizza. They had pizza's shaped like pumpkins, so ofcourse I had to get one. Then stopped by Blockbuster to pick up some movies.

Saturday morning we slept in. It's been so long since we've done that. We finally rolled out of bed at 11 am and started cleaning the house. I love the smell of a freshly cleaned house.

We had plans that evening to go out to a dinner and movie with my brother, John and his girlfriend, Danielle.

We went to El Vaquero's for dinner. Yummy! They have the best cheese sauce to dip your chips in. My favorite dinner there is the veggie burrito. After dinner, we went to go see Paranormal Activity.

I'm super upset we wasted $18.00 on this movie. Personally, I'm not a scary movie person but Chirstopher really wanted to see this movie so we all agreed to go see it. Usually, I'm scared of everything. This movie didn't scare me at all. Don't waste your money going to see it in the theater. After the movie, Chris and I stopped at our favorite bar, O'Manny's to have a few Great Lakes Oktoberfest's.

Sunday, we headed out for some shopping, then came home and carved pumpkins.

How was your weekend?

Weekend October 17 & 18

We had so much fun this weekend I ended up sick! Uggg...right? But so worth it.

On Wednesday October 15, we went to see our favorite band, Pepper. From the left you have, Rami, Yee, Me, Kaleo, Brett, Christopher, Intern, Tech and Coach. We love these guys. It's so great to see them.

On Thursday October 16, I went to help Callie and Dave decorate the hall for the reception until 3 pm. Then went home to get ready and head off to the rehersal. Dave's mom made a wonderful dinner. Chris and I were so stuffed we home and went right to bed.

On Friday October 17, I got up and met Callie at her house for a bridal party breakfast. Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls, my favorite. At 10 am, we went to Details Salon to get our hair done. The stylist was very nice and did a great job with my hair. After we were all beautified we headed to the reception hall to get dressed and get pictures done. We all froze our butts off taking pictures but it was worth it for great pictures. The ceremony started at 7 pm then it was on to the reception at York Golf Club.

Callie and Dave had alot of really cool elements in their wedding:

DIY centerpieces: squrare vases filled with colored candy sticks and paper music flowers
Clothes Line Table Card Holder: there was a mini clothes line on the stairs with mini clothes pin holders, that held your place card.
Place Cards: The tables were names of games and there were games to play with at each table
Photobooth: There was a photobooth that allowed all the guest to take as many pictures as they wanted but one copy went in the guest book and you got to keep the other.

Christopher and I both woke up on Saturday with colds. So we medicated ourselves and slept most of the day. We did manage to go see Law Abiding Citizen and check out a new mexican restaurant near us.

Sunday we had signed up to take a cooking class at Williams Sonoma with my Mom. The class focused on Fall Treats. We made mini pumpkin cupcakes, apple tarts and cinnamon rolled bread. It was so yummy but wore us out. So we headed straight home and spent the rest of the day on the sofa.

How was your weekend?

The rest of the week, here at The Domestic Princess, will be organization week. So make sure to come back and check out all the organization projects we've completed.

Weekend of October 10 &11

Friday and Sunday were very uneventful days for us. We actually enjoyed just lounging around and cleaning the house. BUT Saturday we a fun day with our best friends, Amy & Bill. We got up early on Saturday morning and met Amy & Bill at their house. Then we all jumped in the car and drove 45 minutes to the Pumpkin Patch.

We stopped at the market first to get some pumpkin bread, apple cider, peppers, etc. Look at all the pumpkins they had out front:

I'm loving these green and yellow colored pumpkins. I had the resist buying one.

Here is me and Amy, enjoying every minute of "harvestland." Do you like my boots?

I bought Addison her own "Moo Boots" a couple months ago at Target.

Bill and Christopher decided to do the corn maze, while we were at the pumpkin patch.

There were so many choices to choose from, it was so hard to pick our pumpkin.

But we finally found it. This is going to be my pumpkin I carve this year:

After the pumpkin patch, Christopher and I went to the YMCA and checked it out. Since it's getting cold out, we won't be able to walk outside anymore. So, we think this would be a good way to keep in shape. There were lots of positives about this Y:

1. Less than a mile from the house
2. Brand new and very clean
3. Free classes
4. No contracts
5. Indoor and Outdoor pool

I think we are going to join at the end of this month. After visiting the Y, we went back to Amy & Bill's to watch the OSU vs. Wisconsin game.

I hope you had a great weekend too!

Weekend of October 3 & October 4

Friday Night Christopher and I went "On a Date." We had such a great time. We started the evening at P.F. Changs with an amazing dinner. They had a Dinner for Two for $39.99. That included soup, appetizer, two dinners and dessert. We were so stuffed but managed to wobble over to the movie theater to go see Capialism: A Love Story.

This is a must see for all Americans. You don't have to believe the side that Michael Moore gives you but you need to SEE the side that Michael Moore gives you. Personally, I love Michael Moore and I've seen every single one of his movies.

After the movie, Christopher and I decided to go get some drinks at our favorite bar, O'Manny's. It's like Cheers for us. We always run into someone we know and end up having great conversation. I did end up having one (or two) too many drinks. But isn't that what your supposed to do at 28?

On Saturday, I decided get up early and take a relaxing bath and finish my book, Knocked Up. Then Christopher and I did some organization projects (look forward to a future post on that). Around 6 pm, we went over to Amy & Bill's to watch the OSU vs. Illinois game.

Sunday, I saw that my blog was busted. (Oh no, right?) So I spent most of my Sunday morning fixing my blog. You may notice a slight difference but I tried to put it back to exactly how it was before. There is one new feature on the right hand side for you to vote on future baby names that we like. I also taught myself to sew on Sunday and was able to get one project done (look for a post on that later this week).

I hope you had a relaxing weekend like we did.

Weekend of September 26 & September 27

Friday night Christopher and I went to Target because I heard they were having some good clearance from my Nestie friends over at D&R. I didn't find a ton of clearance but did get this pillow for $4.98. Great find, huh?

Then we came home and watched Confessions of a Shopaholic. Christopher was amusing me by staying in the room and watching it too. I saw him chuckle a couple of times but I promised not to tell anyone, so don't tell him I told you. Wink, Wink!

On Saturday morning, I got up and went out to Canal Winchester to get my hair done. My wonderful friend, Amanda, is the manager at a First Choice Haircutter's out there and does a great job. I just got a trim and a color. What do you think?:

I got home at 10 am and and read my new book, Knocked Up, for a few hours. No, that's not a hint to anything (Mom). Everyone knows I have baby fever, so I've been reading alot of books about pregnancy. This book is hilarious.

At 5 pm, I headed over to the Melting Pot, a fondue restaurant, to meet my Cousin, Callie, and family and friends for her Bachlorette Party. Here's a picture of our table:

*From the left: Laren, Tara (cousin), Me, Brenna (Tara's daughter, second cousin), Callie (the Bride to Be), Maribeth and her friend (I forgot her name)

We feasted on so much food that night I could barely get out of my seat.

After 'the feast', we went to Gameworks to play some games and have some drinks. Everyone had a such a great time. I'm so excited for the wedding.

On Sunday, Chris and I finished decorating the front porch and relaxed. Christopher did endulge in another chick flick, The Ghost of Girlfriends Past. Which was a cute movie.

Weekend of September 19 & 20

Christopher and I had a great weekend spending time with family and friends. On Friday night we had my parents over for Jet's Pizza. While the guys were chillling on the Patio, my Mom and I went shopping at Garden Ridge for about an hour. It was such a great time. (Stay tuned for a DIY makeover from my shopping experiance, later this week)

On Saturday afternoon, we watched the OSU vs. Toledo game. The Buckeye's won 38 - 0. Then we made plans with our best friends, Amy and Bill, to do dinner at El Vaquero and have a bon fire in their backyard. Amy and I tried some new pumpkin beer at the bon fire which was really good.

It was such a great weekend, we didn't want it to end! What did you do this weekend?
