A weekend of Welcomed Distractions

Last Friday Chris and I both felt like shells of people. We found out that his latest Semen Anaylsis was even lower than any others we've had. His urologist recommended we go to a Reproductive Endocronologist and we will more than likely have to have IVF (In-Vitro Fertilization) to have a child. This is such large news to take. Luckily, we were able to get scheduled right away with Dr. M at Reproductive Gynecology Inc. for Tuesday.

In the mean time we had such a great distracting weekend. My three year old nephew stayed with us all weekend and we had so much fun. We decorated the house, I went to my first Scentsy Party and went to a home tour of local million dollar homes.

Now back to reality and hopefully we get some positive news on Tuesday!

Costume Super Center Review ~ Princess Leia

Princess Leia Costumes
As I was searching for Halloween Costumes this year, I ran across Costume Super Center. I was so happy when they agreed to send me this great costume for review. I had so much fun and turned heads when I was wearing it. We had many little stormtroopers knock on our door during trick or treat thinking I was the coolest neighbor on the block.

Included with this costume is the dress, the belt and the wig. I added tights and boots underneath.

Size: This is a one size fits all costume and I had no problem with tightness or length that some times you can run into with one size fits all.

Quality:
It was freezing cold the night I wore this costume and with a long sleeve shirt and pants under it, I was plenty warm. The robe/dress is a nice thick material. What I'm most impressed with is the wig. I can't believe how great the buns are hold up after my nephew was poking at them.

Selection: While figuring out what I was going to be this year, I spent a lot of time on Costumesupercenter.com. They have a wide selection of items for kids and adults. See here for more Star Wars Costumes.

Shipping and Processing Time:
I ordered this costume and it was at my door step two days later. Fast, Fast shipping. Also, they are still offering that if you order a costume now it will be to your house by Saturday

Overall, I had a great experience ordering from Costumesupercenter.com and would order from them again.

Thank to Costumesupercenter.com for allowing me to review their costumes. I had so many great compliments on my costume this year.

**Costumesupercenter.com is also offering everyone who posts a review to their site a chance to win $100 ($200 if you post 2 pictures).**

Personal Creations Review

Youth Sport Hoodie
Personal Creations believes that making a gift personal is what gift giving is all about. They offer many different kinds of items on their site. Personal Creations let me pick out one item on their website for review. I knew my nephew would love this sweatshirt for his birthday so I picked out this and had his name put on it, Anton. He was so excited to see his name on a sweatshirt.

Size: I ordered a 4T for my three year old nephew and it fits him perfectly now. So I would suggest getting one size bigger to make sure it correctly.

Durability:
My sister in law has washed this sweatshirt 3 or 4 times now and I'm happy to report that the sweatshirt has held it's size. Also, the lettering is holding up great too.

Colors: This hoodie comes in Black, Red, Royal and Pink

Shipping and Processing Time:
Because of the personalization this item took about a week to arrive after I placed my order. So just make sure to order in plenty of time.

Overall, I would order from Personal Creations again. They were a pleasure to work with and have great products to make any gift perfect.

Baby Star Rock the Tote: Auntie Review

Baby Star sent me one of there very cool Rock The Tote bags for an Auntie Review. I'll use any excuse to have this adorable guy for a weekend.

The first thing I loved about this bag is that my laptop fit in it, with room for coloring books, crayons and books.

Also, the outside is plastic which makes it super easy to wipe down when your neice/nephew spills their juice all over your cute new Auntie Bag. Totally happened!

The Rock the Tote also features a wide zipper pocket on one side and two open pockets on the other side that can hold a wipe case, bottle or cell phone. Also includes a BPA free wipe case.

If you've hung around my blog long enough, you know that I'm in love with all things Baby Star. All their products are FORMALDEHYDE-FREE and AZO-FREE, making them safe for baby and the environment.

Baby Star, Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity and I can't wait to have a little one of my own to buy your products for.

I'm Published

Ok, maybe not in the way you're thinking! But probably as close as I will get.
Nickelodeon's Parent Connect has featured a tie blanket I made for my nephew. Ellen from To The Max is an independent writer for them. She was looking for people who had craft ideas for children and I volunteered the tie blanket I made.

Cool, huh?

Tie Blanket

My Aunt Susan and Cousin Callie introduced me to the tie blanket a few years back so I finally got up the nerve to try to make one. I thought I'd make one for my best friend's daughter, Addison and my nephew, Anton, for Christmas.

I bought 1 yard of the pink striped fabric and 1 yard of the pink fabric both 50% off. My total was $7.00

I cut ties into each side of the fabric. Then tied them together.

I don't think I'm going to be able to wait until Chirstmas. Didn't it turn out so cute?

Wedded Weekend

Christopher and I had such a great weekend spending time with all the family. We arrived on Friday evening in Sterling Heights, MI. We had arranged to watch my nephew on Friday night so my Brother in Law and Sister in Law could get some rest before their big day. When we picked up my nephew he had a cold. So I knew he would go right to bed for me.

So, I gave him his birthday presents (He turned 2 on August 27) and let him play for a little bit before putting him to bed.

This is the future little rocker. Lol! Well, our little rocker was so sick he slept from 9:30 pm to 9:30 am. On Saturday morning, we ate some breakfast and took a bath.

We all got dressed to go to the wedding.

The ceremony was so beautiful. I, of course, cried. I'm so happy for my Brother In Law and Sister In Law. They make such a great couple and have a beautiful family.

Here are some pictures from our Wedding from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. What was your favorite wedding you've attended? Why?
