Decorating: New Accessories

I found these books at Garden Ridge for $7 a piece and knew they would be perfect for our guest bedroom.

As soon I bought these, I headed right over to Target because I knew I had the perfect topper for these books. I have been stalking this Eiffel Tower for months.

I'm in love with my new accessories. What do you think?

IKEA?

After going to my future sister in laws Bridal Shower, I decided to stop by Ikea. Thanks to one of the great Nesties on the D&R board, I found out there was an Ikea right around the corner from the shower. I was so excited to go to Ikea that I started taking pictures from the car. I didn't have a lot of time (I had puppy dogs waiting at home for me) but I did get my first taste of Ikea. Oh the wonderful possibilites. I was able to pick up some great curtains for our guest bedroom. They were $29.99 for both panels. What a deal! I think Ikea is my new favorite store. Christopher and I found a dining set I think we are going to have save for. We both loved it.

Bedroom Update

As you've seen from my previous posts, we are in the middle redoing our guest bedroom. This weekend, we got the bed put together, curtain rod up and curtains hung. We still need to hang the pictures, figure out what color to paint the table, and pick out accent pillows. Keep checking back.

Watching Paint Dry

It only took us three hours and the bedroom redo has began. We painted the walls SW Grey Shingle. Here's some pictures. This picture doesn't do the color justice. It's a nice gunmetal grey. I'll take more pics during the daylight.

I'm loving this color:

**Bonus Pic (The bedding came in yesterday afternoon). I can't wait to get this room complete.

Lets Paint the Town

We have finally picked out the color for the guest bedroom. SW Grey Shingle. I can't wait to get this color up on the wall.
