How To Do Military Corners

This is a really simple and easy tutorial on how to do hospital/military corners. Also, you can play around with the size of the corners. In the video, the corner is bigger but if you wanted to can make them smaller.

I'd love to hear your thoughts/questions about the video.

Cleaning Tip: Swiffer Duster

If you haven't used the Swiffer Duster, you need to try one (I'll let you borrow mine).

We have 10 foot ceilings on our first floor and the extender pole lets me reach the top of the ceilings. The refills can be a bit pricy but I have noticed that you can usually get two dustings out of one pad.

My favorite time to dust is when I'm talking on the phone. So if you've talked to me on the phone, I was probably dusting.

Cleaning Tip: Stinky Sink

Do you have a stinky sink?

Sometimes food can get caught on the blades of your disposal and start to stink up the kitchen. I have a cheap and easy way to clean the blades and get your sink smelling wonderful.

What you'll need:

1. Your ice box full of ice
2. Comet Bleach Powder

Take your ice box and pour some ice in the sink, turn on the hot water and the garbage disposal. As soon as the ice start grinding in the garbage disposal pour some Clorox Bleach Powder is with the ice and water.

Repeat this until your ice box is empty. You're sink will be smelling a ton better.

Product Review: Bouce Dryer Bar

When I first heard about the Bounce Dryer Bar, I made a special stop on my way home to get it. We've had the Bouce Dryer Bar for two weeks now and are not happy with it's performance.

1.Their is no 'just washed' smell like dryer sheets have (this is a big one!)
2.I feel like the clothes are not as soft
3.Cost (we paid $8)

This is such a great idea, I just think they need to work on it. Overall, I think I'll stick with my dryer sheets.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Bounce Dryer Bar.

Domestic Queen

I think I have moved up from Domestic Princess to Domestic Queen. I'm the proud new owner of a Dyson Animal.

Here is a beautiful picture of her head.

Here she is posing for everyone:

Here with her top off:

I'm loving how clean the carpet is. I swept with our Hoover Petvac then swept with our Dyson Animal, the same room, the canister was half full when I reswept with the Dyson Animal. I couldn't believe it. I'm lovin' my new "Dyson" life.

Pergo Floor Cleaner

I have always wondered how good the actually manufacturer product really would clean our cherry pergo floors. We have had issues with the flooring because the old owners did not properly clean them (unnatural products i.e. Orange Glo). This left a nice film all over the beautiful floors. I was wondering through Home Depot today (yes, this happens every weekend) and ran into Pergo Floor Cleaner. Now, I have looked everywhere for this and could only find it on the internet. So I decided to pick up a bottle BUT then I saw the glowing yellow sign saying $1.41 reg $5.95. This couldn't be happening. REALLY? So I decided to pick up 7 bottles. Yes, 7! I cleaned them out of the rest of the bottles they had. In total is cost me $9.87.

I'm very excited about how clean my floors are. Check them out:

Dirty Sink, Get it Clean...

Did you know that Barkeepers Friend is magic?

For all of you with stainless steel sinks, you better have some Barkeepers Friend in your house. This wonderful cleaning tip was past to me from my wonder Aunt Janet. Does your sink look like this:

Clean it up with some Barkeepers Friend. You can find this product anywhere and it is really cheap ($2-$3). I like to use a washcloth and a about a 1/4 cup of Barkeepers Friend. Your sink will be the envy of the neighbors.
