Easter Cupcakes

This year for Easter, I made these adorable cupcakes from my Hello, Cupcake book.
For my first attempt, I think they turned out pretty good. I did have to make some changes because of not being able to find certain items the recipe called for.

The first change, was I used Marshmallows instead of White Circus Peanuts for the rabbit feet. Who the heck has ever seen White Circus Peanuts, anyways?! The second change was I used chocolate sprinkles instead of chocolate covered sunflower seeds for the claws. Third, I used clear sprinkles on the tail instead of white nonpareils. Last but not least, I used coconut and died it green instead of using green icing for the grass.

What do you think?

It was a beautiful Easter Day, here's a picture of the family hanging on the back porch.

Christmas Wrap Up

We had such a great Christmas this year, at our house. Thank you so much to all of our family and friends that were able to make it. The memories we created will never be forgotten.

We rearranged the living room to create more space for all the guests and I think we may keep it.

The dining room table was removed and we put two 6 foot folding tables in. I got centerpieces at the Dollar Tree. For both tables the decorations were $10

Here is a picture of me with one of my new scarves. I wear scarves all the time and have a ton of them, so my mom got me three more for Christmas.

Here is is all of my family crowded into what I thought was our large living room. ha ha!

And last but not least is my adorable newphew who gave 12 people (including us) the flu. We spent all day Sunday and Monday in bed recovering.

Swap Meet

Clothes Swap that is! On Friday night, our realtor, Sue Berg, does a clothes swap every year that she invited me and my best friend, Amy, to. The rules were to bring 5 items (clothes, accessories, shoes, etc.), we lay out all the stuff for us to 'shop' before the swap, then you draw a card. The first person started with the Ace then we went up from there. When it was your turn you got to go take one item. Once every one had taken a turn, it was a free for all up to the table for any other items you want. We had such a great time with this. Sue always has the best wine. Here are some pictures I took:

I ended up getting a pair of boyfriend jeans, a old navy tshirt and a knock off Chole purse.

On Saturday afternoon, Christopher and I babysat my best friend, Amy's daughter so Mommy and Daddy could go out to dinner. We had such a great time hanging out with Addison. Here are some cute pictures of our fun time:
