TTC: Follicle Scan

Last week, I went back to Doctor A. to talk about my progesterone allergy and to discuss what our plan is from here.

This time I came armed with my charts and questions:

1. I had been reading in an article that Vitamin D deficiency can cause a part in infertility. My doctor agreed that there is definitley an epidemic of Vitamin D deficiency right now in all adults. She is suggesting that all her patients be on 2000IU per day. So I'm adding that to the list of B6 and Prenatals that I'm taking every day.

2. I'm still worried about my cycle length (40+ days). She is suggesting that we use Clomid to help with this. She told me that in her experiance girls with my history respond very well to it. We would be doing monitored cycles. Which means I would take the Clomid from day 3-7, then come in on day 14 for an ultrasound to check the eggs and lining. Chris and I are still thinking about whether this is the option for us.

3. My charts. Doctor A. thinks that it's great that I am ovulating on my own and my progesterone levels are staying elevated for 14 days without supplement.

Doctor A. also suggested a Semen Analysis and for me to get a Follicle Scan. The Follicle Scan will help Doctor A. determine the size of the eggs being produced and the thickness of the endometrium. I go in for this scan tomorrow. Once we have the results from the extra tests she ordered, Christopher and I feel that we will be able to make a more informed decision about what we want to do from here.

Wish us Luck!
