Not many of my readers knew but the Domestic Princess was a closet smoker. I never smoked at work, in public (unless around friends), etc. Well, 8 days ago I decided I was fed up with being tied down to my dirty habit. So I QUIT! Yes, I'm A QUITTER! It's good to say that. Here are some interesting facts I found on the web about what my body is going through right now and the last week:
In 20 minutes your blood pressure will drop back down to normal.
In 8 hours the carbon monoxide (a toxic gas) levels in your blood stream will drop by half, and oxygen levels will return to normal.
In 48 hours your chance of having a heart attack will have decreased. All nicotine will have left your body. Your sense of taste and smell will return to a normal level.
In 72 hours your bronchial tubes will relax, and your energy levels will increase.
In 2 weeks your circulation will increase, and it will continue to improve for the next 10 weeks.

So I'm going to give myself a good pat on the back and say GO ME! Anyone one else, decide to give up the nasty habit?

Congrats! I know how this feels...I too was a closet smoker and about a month ago I just decided I didn't want to do this anymore. It's well worth it!! :)
Congrats girl!! So happy for you!!
Very impressive! I quit about 10 years ago and it doesn't really even phase me any more. It gets easier as the days/months/years pass.
